Charity Challenge Contributors

A professional truck driving skills competition to benefit the Kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

CONTRIBUTORS

Contributions are classified into four groups:

Platinum Contributor $2000+
Gold Contributor $1000-$1999
Silver Contributor $400-$999
Bronze Contributor $150-$399

The majority of the contributors fall into the Silver and Bronze categories. Contributing companies are listed on the web site and will have their logos displayed in color in the Charity Challenge Program Book.

There are nine (9) classes of competition. Each class presents a gold, silver and bronze belt buckle to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. The sponsorship of these classes is reserved for the Platinum, Gold and Silver Contributors. These nine spots are filled by the longevity of the contributors' support of the Charity Challenge.

Trophies will be awarded to the top two scorers for the Written Test, the Pre-Trip Inspection and the Father/Son team. These three trophy classes are sponsored by Silver contributors and above.

A Bronze contributor will be in line for sponsorship of an award of single trophies. These include the High Fundraiser Awards, Top Management Score, Top Retired Driver Score, and Top Setup Score.

As companies move in and out of participation, class and trophy sponsorships open each year.

Approximately 40% of the Charity Challenge revenue is collected from company contributions, and 60% of the revenue is from the driver fund raising efforts. In 2010, company contributions totaled $11,500, (cash only) and the drivers raised $20,085. Since our start in 1997, gross revenue from contributions by both companies and drivers has totaled $385,000!
